Handball: Russian player strengthens Petro's squad
Luanda - Petro de Luanda's handball team signed a Russian goalkeeper, Viktoriya Polchikova, for a season, according to the club's repor, on its facebook page.

In Angola since last Wednesday, the athlete has increased competition in the most backward sector of the field, where Teresa Almeida “Bá” emerges, considered one of the best in Africa in that position.
Ahead of the squad’s dispute for the Super Cup, set for this February 28th, the player has already worked with the new teammates, in the field of Catetão (Petro’s stadium), under the command of the technical team, led by Vivaldo Eduardo.
Viktoriya Polchikova is 1.81 meters tall and 75 kg. She started her career at Kuban in Krasnodar, moved to Luch Moscow and then played for Boden in Sweden.
Before choosing for Petro de Luanda she was active in Maccabi Rishom Lezion, in Russia.
The Tricolor squad (Petro's nickname) also hired the multipurpose Suzanne Mambou "Channelle" from Inter of Congo, 27 years old, 1.76 tall, who played in the Champion Clubs Cup for her former team.
Petro de Luanda started the season without the assistance of Magda Cazanga, Joana Costa and Azenaide Carlos. The first two were transferred to Spanish handball, while Azenaide is in Russia.
The current squad of Petro de Luanda: Ivete Simão, Viktoriia Polishikova, Teresa Almeida "Bá", Ríssia Oliveira, Estefânia Venâncio, Edith Bunga, Vilma Neganga, Stélvia Pascoal, Marília Quizelete "Inglesa", Delfina Mugongo "Didi", Natália Kamalandua, Suzanne Mambou and Noela Pedro.

Luanda - Angola's senior men national team of handball will participate for the fifth time in a world championship in their history, after the squad secured this Monday their qualification for the 27th edition of the cup, scheduled for January 2021 in Egypt, with eight more competitors in relation to the 24 from the last events.
