The situation of the covid-19 pandemic and the uncertainty of the dispute for the senior males National e Basketball Championship also contributed to the decision, according to a source from daily newspaper, Jornal de Angola.

Quezada arrived in Angola in 2016 to play for Petro de Luanda, the team with which he won several titles.

Due to the financial unavailability of Petro, he has signed a contract with the rival 1º de Agosto.

In four seasons, Emmanuel Quezada was one of the most valuable player s in the team.

1º de Agosto, coached  by Manuel Sousa “Necas”, has already confirmed the players like, Armando Costa and Hermenegildo Santos (point guards), Edson Ndoniema “Lapa”, Islando Manuel “Papá Ngulo”, Malick Cissé, Fidel Cabita, Pedro Bastos , Gilson Bango (small forwards) and the power fprwards Eduardo Mingas, Felizardo Ambrósio “Miller” and Teotónio Dó.
