Football: Mário Soares announces leaving CDH

Lubango - After four seasons, coach Mário Soares announced last Sunday, in Lubango City, he is to leave Desportivo da Huíla Club (CDH), to join the technical staff of 1º de Agosto, where he has a contract as an employee.

Speaking to the press about his permanence or not in the Huila squad (CDH), the coach said he does not know yet where he is being placed, but he believes that might be in the academy as deputy or main coach.

Mário Soares underlined that he is already with everything ready to head to Luanda, Angolan Capital, and just didn't do it before due to the covid-19 pandemic.

Mário Soares leave has been was confirmed by the CDH's managing director, Ezequias Domingos.

Mário Soares, who coached the CDH since 2017, is responsible for the best classification in the first division  National Football Championship (3rd place in the season of 2018/19) and a final of the Angola Cup, in 2018.

Until the cancellation of the 2019/20 National Championship, due to covid-19, Desportivo da Huíla occupied the 6th position, with 29 points.
