Sports: Federations renew mandates
Luanda - Angolan Federations of Chess, Volleyball and Table Tennis conducted their respective mandate renewals on Saturday, resulting in a vote of confidence for two presidents and the rise of another for the next four years.

Held via digital platforms due to the covid -19 pandemic (except Luanda held in person), in the race for the presidency of the Angolan Chess Federation, outgoing Tito Martins (list B) defeated the candidate Domingos Ferraz (list - A), by 48 -03.
In a universe of 52 members, the ballot registered one null vote.
The former chess player, who won his second term, has as priority the implementation of a national chess plan, continue to work on achieving the unprecedented title of Grand Master.
Tito Martins also intends to create a database with references of players, coaches and referees, in addition to working out a communication plan on the internet, on televisions, newspapers and radios to attract new practitioners.
In turn, Valentim Domingos was reelected, in single list, president of Volleyball for third term.
The candidate, who managed ten votes in favour, highlights, in his action plan, the continued development of the sport in schools, creating new opportunities through publicising projects.
He also pledges to continue developing beach volleyball, improving working conditions in associations, investing in high performance, training at national level.
Definition of development protocols with institutions of secondary and higher education, are also part of the action plan.
The second interim vice president, Manuel Morais, deserved the trust of the associates, in a single list.
The former secretary general of the federation, from 2016 to 2020, has as a priority the promotion of international sports exchange and encourage the manufacture of tables and dividers in Angola.
The new leader also proposes: to mobilize partnerships inside and outside the country, to define a strategy for attracting talent, an annual training plan for technicians and association leaders, in addition to the maintenance and conservation of the High Performance Center.
