Angola attends Africa/Brazil Dialogue

Luanda – The Angolan minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, Afonso Pedro Canga, attends from this Monday, in Brazil, at the invitation of President Lula da Silva, a meeting on food security and rural development.
The meeting, entitled “Dialogue Africa/Brazil”, will discuss issues related to enhancement of cooperation in several agriculture fields, such as the capacity of the countries in terms of the investments in the sector, rural extension and the commercial exchanges.
Speaking to press at the international airport “4 de Fevereiro”, in Luanda, about the meeting, Afonso Pedro Canga explained that each minister received his individual invitation and will present his particular subjects, their problem and Brazil will present its capacity to help.
Concerning Angola, the minister stressed that the country expects to gather Brazil experience in terms of scientific research, family agriculture, but also in business agriculture, organisation of agro-business and its industrialisation, once that Brazil is one of the world leading food exporter.
