Luanda – The Republic of Angola participates this Friday at the launching ceremony of Africa’s Food Day in Africa, taking place Lilongwe (Malawi), as part of the conference of ministers of Agriculture of the continent, happening from 28 to 29 October, led by president Bingo Wa Mutharika, who was sworn in as the new chairperson of African Union in January.
The country will be represented in Malawi by the minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fishery, Afonso Pedro Canga, who is leading a delegation of his ministry made up of three members.
Before leaving the country, Pedro Canga informed Angop that the conference will analyse issues related to agricultural projects in the continent, ways of financing, food security, among other aspects connected to fighting hunger and poverty.
