Agricultural cooperatives get several seeds in Kuimba

M'banza Kongo - At least 25 agriculturaç cooperatives in Kuimba district, northern Zaire province, benefited on Thursday seeds of maize, peanuts and cassava, aiming for 2011/2012 agricultural season.
Angop learnt that the seeds were acquired by the local administration in the ambit of the municipal programme of integrated development and fight against poverty in rural area.
Speaking to Angop, the official in charge of Agrarian Development Station (EDA), Luntadila Nginamau, expects an increase of agricultural production due to regular rains hitting the region.
Some 26 agricultural cooperatives and 72 peasants associations are registered in Kuimba district.
