Luanda – The Angolan minister of Commerce, Idalina Valente, Friday in Luanda reaffirmed the purpose in the implementation of the Programme of Restructuring of the System of Logistics and Distribution of Basic Commodities (Presild), aiming at a regular supply and stability of prices of basic goods.

The minister was speaking at the opening of the Gamek’s “Nosso Super”, saying Presild stands out for its sub-programmes it comprises, such as distribution centres, proximity stores, logistics cold storage and the “Nosso Super”.

She reaffirmed that the “Nosso Super” sub-programme comprises 31 supermarkets built in all provinces of the country.

Idalina Valente stressed that when it started in March 2009, the country had only three large retailer stores, against the current more than eight, as a result of the work done by the commercial groups involved.

The official said the private commercial groups have invested in the sector, creating new infrastructures that will provide the public with appropriate conditions and a sound environment to purchase goods with desired sanitary safety.

The minister added that the reopening of the programme, follows negotiations between the Angolan State and a private company that will run the “Nosso Super” network in the 18 provinces of the country.
