Tômbwa wind power park worthed at over AKZ 17.0 billion

Namibe – The construction project in Tômbwa district of the first 100-megawatt wind power park of Angola, is estimated at more than AKZ 17.0 billion.
This was said to Angola on Wednesday by the Minister of Energy and water, João Baptista Borges.
To be built according to a public and private partnership, the minister said that the construction works will start at the end of this year and after its functioning, the park will also operate as centre for training and experiment of new technologies.
The official said that the wind power park will benefit the localities of Tômbwa, Namibe and Lubango.
During his stay in the south-west Namibe province, the minister also visited some social undertakings, such as power and water supply system under construction in this city.
