This was said Tuesday in Luena by the local residents, who told Angop that with the circulation of trains last year, connecting the provinces of Benguela, Huambo, Bie and Moxico, the prices of construction material fell sharply comparing to the previous years.
Previously a bag of cement was sold between 2,000 and 3,000 kwanzas, against the current 1,100 to 1, 200 kwanzas , depending on the quality of the product, said the local resident Dismasse Sachamuha.
On the other hand , the local residents expressed concern about the high prices charged by the truck drivers, especially the Chinese citizens.
According to them, a truck pebble load stands at between 30,000 to 120,000 kwanzas (one dollar worth 100 kwanzas).
