Cunene: Police record eight violations on Angola/Namibia border

Ondjiva - Eight customs fiscal offenses were recorded during the weekend in the tax offices of Calueque and Santa-Clara on the border with Namibia by staff of the Tax Police in the southern Cunene province, three more if compared to the previous period.

According to the provincial police command spokesman in Cunene, superintendent Piedade Pombal, the offenses resulted in five exchange transgression, two fiscal transgression and one for import smuggling.

He also said that the infringements also resulted in the seizure of various goods, with emphasis on two cars, and monetary values of AKZ 1.5 million.
