This was said Wednesday in Luena city by the head of the Department of the Forest Development Institute (IDF), Isaac Victor, who added that this has attracted Akz 17.9 million into the State’s coffers (One Usd is Akz 150:00).
According to the official, the above figure shows a rise of one thousand cubic metres as compared with the previous period.
Isaac Victor also stated that the increase in production was due to the establishment of a partnership between national and foreign partners, which has led to improved storage, transportation and exploitation of the product.
The various types of timber are explored in the province’s localities of Luvuei, Luau and Catende, Luando, Catchipoque, Canais and Bembe.
