Speaking to Angop at the end of her two-day visit to Cunene province, the official said that it is not compatible in the structure of the Ministry of Trade to have external trade delegations in border areas, but it is fair the existence of centre with dependence on the sector’s provincial departments, thus establishing greater communication.
Rosa Pacavira said that at the moment works on the revision of the law on foreign trade and its regulation in order to boost trade in the border areas are being conducted, resulting in increased exports and imports of goods and services.
The Trade Minister announced that due to this work, provinces bordering neighbouring countries are no longer allowed to issue new export and import licenses in order to regulate the sector.
