Huila: Chibia authorities set up industrial park

Chibia - The authorities of Chibia municipality, southern Huila province, have set aside 700 hectares of land to establish an industrial estate, some 42 kilometers south of Lubango.

This was said by the municipal director of Urban Planning and Housing Ministry in the region, Paulo Almeida.

Speaking to Angop on Monday, the official said that the piece of land is situated in Chibia villege and is open to foreign and domestic investors wishing to set up factories there.

The initiative is aimed to boost the growth of the municipality and contribute to the process of diversification of the local and the country’s economy.
