The recommendation came from the chairman of the Executive Commission of “Bonus Seguros”, Luís Ver Pedro, who said this despite sound competition, fullness of services and fairness of costs.
According to Luís Vera Pedro, lack of a tighter control of the insurance sector is allowing some companies to operate without rigour, minding firstly about profit rather in valuing the customers who need a special and prompt service.
The official was speaking to Angop on the behaviours and or strategy of insurance companies in the face of the ongoing economic and financial crisis facing the country.
He rejected as unfair that customers are often made to wait more than three months to get their property paid back or get served in clinics.
To him, there is no justification for this, as the companies have assets to respond in less than 24 hours to simple cases amounting to no more than Akz 50,000, like car accidents with light damages.
Luís Vera Pedro said that in view of the crisis experiencing the country, insurance companies should innovate and adjust their solutions to the needs and actual economic reality.
