Cuanza Sul: Programme to increase coffee production launched
Gabela - The national director of the National Institute of Coffee (INCA) João Ferreira Neto Thursday in the municipality of Amboim, coastal Cuanza Sul province, launched a programme to increase the production and export of coffee and palm seedlings.

The two-year programme is aimed to triple the production from 10 to 30,000 tons of exported coffee.
According to João Ferreira Neto, another goal in the program is the production of 250 million coffee seedlings and 1.5 billion palm seedlings.
He also that the programme is intended to support producers.
Data indicate that the current coffee production in the country covers an area of 18,000 hectares, against 120,000 in the previous period of 1975.
