Government ensures permanent training for peasants in Bié

Cuito - Peasants in central Bié province will continue to benefit from training this year to improve technical skill and boost agriculture production, said Monday the director of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, Marcolino Rocha Sandemba.

Marcolino Rocha Sandemba, who was speaking to Angop, said that the training will be held in more than 200 field schools based in municipalities of  Catabola, Camacupa, Chinguar, Andulo, Chitembo, Cuito, Nhârea, Cunhinga and Cuemba.

According to him, the field schools contribute to the capacity building of farmers and increasing the yields.

The Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries Department in Bié province controls 197 cooperatives and 1, 500 associations of peasants.
