This has been announced at the closed-door SADC Finance Ministers Meeting taking place in Gaborone (Botswana).
The information is contained in a press release that reached Angop.
According t o the source, the document that will submitted for approval to upcoming sessions of the organisation is meant to consolidate the levels of established awareness, by bringing together the citizens from the region, information and exchange systems and strengthening media engagement efforts.
The strategy includes media capacity building to enable them to appropriately report on SADC matters, including harmonised information policies, and improve and reinforce internal communication systems within the SADC Secretariat and with national structures.
Other aspects of the strategy involves keeping SADC corporative image and a better management of the regional organisation’s trade mark, through the SADC Corporative Identity Manual, social media policies with capacity to aggregate contents and systems linked to the national communication structures.
