Zaire: Nzeto power substation to be completed in June
Nzeto - The power substation of Nzeto municipality, to transport electricity from Soyo combined cycle power plant to the provinces of Zaire, Bengo and Luanda, will be completed at the end of the first half of this year and, thus improve the power supply in these regions of Angola.

This was said to Angop on Sunday by the engineer and responsible for the construction works of the referred power substation, Francisco Mulongo.
According to him, the project has three voltage levels from 220 kilovolts to the municipalities of Mbanza Congo, Nóqui, Tomboco and Kuimba, 60 for Nzeto (Zaire) and 400 kilovolts to Luanda.
At this time, the 400 and 60 kilovolts lines of the substation are already completed, missing only the 220 line which is implemented at 80 percent.
The 400 kilovolts line (for Luanda) has three single-phase transformers 30 MVAs, the porticos and some other equipment already assembled are being tested.
Regarding the 60 kilovolts lines of Nzeto, its capacity is of three megawatts.
According to the engineer, this substation will receive those kilovolts of Soyo combined cycle power plant, which has a production capacity of 735 megawatts of electricity.
