Angolan, Chinese entrepreneurs set up chamber of commerce
Luanda - A new Angola-China Chamber of Commerce, aimed for protection of mutual investment and encouraging partnership, was established Thursday, in Luanda, by Angolan and Chinese businesspeople.

The members of the institution shall take office on March 31.
According to Manuel Arnaldo de Sousa Calado, chairman of CAC, acronym of the chamber, said that the main aim is the protection of private Chinese investments in Angola and private partnership between businesspeople from both countries.
This is aimed to allow the boosting of economic diversification of Angola, the creation of new jobs and the increase of Angolan exports to China.
Arnaldo Calado said that Chinese entrepreneurs have to invest capital and technology and through the Chamber of Commerce this will find the right partnerships to develop their businesses safely and with transparency.
The focus on the training of Angolan entrepreneurs through technical training courses, such as commercial Mandarin to help Angolans in their business trips to China, is also part of the agreement.
The new institution replaces the old Angola-China Friendship Association Chamber, established in 1995.
The new Chamber is chaired by Arnaldo Calado, former CEO of the Angolan diamonds Company, ENDIAMA, and its chairman of General Assemblies is António Paulo Kassoma, a former Speaker of the Angolan Parliament, as well as Prime Minister of Angola.
