In round made on Tuesday by Angop, the peasants were unanimous in saying that this situation has been hindering their activities during the agricultural season, because fertilizers play an extremely important role for the development of the production.

Paulo da Costa, manager of Média 31 farm, said that he has about 70 hectares of land, but only 30 hectares are planted with beans, peanuts, sweet potatoes and maize in large quantities.

The head of the Zero Farm, António Henriques, said that the agricultural year is compromised because fertilizers are difficult.

On his turn, Josino Machado, head of the fertilizer company in Cela municipality, said the lack of the product is due to the shortage of foreign exchange in the market to buy them outside the country.
