Cunene Province free from foot-and-mouth disease for two months
Ondjiva - The southern Cunene Province is free from the foot-and-mouth disease for the last two months, an epidemic that broke out in the southern region of Angola in May 2015, revealed last Tuesday the provincial director for agriculture and rural development, Dinis Pedro Pacavira.

According to the official, the foot-and-mouth outbreak is now under control, since the authorities carried out a vaccination campaign for animals in this region.
He also said that the veterinary services are still implementing preventive measures and reexamining the work that was done to keep pace with the epidemiological situation of animals.
He then assured that the entrance and exit of animal products and byproducts from and to Namibia is happening normally.
