Huíla: Negola commune Farmers refunds loans
Caluquembe - The peasants of Negola commune, Caluquembe municipality, southern Huíla province, have already refunded 50 percent of the loans they received in 2015 in maize seeds, donated by the local Agrarian Development Station, through a joint programme with Action for Rural Development and Environment (ADRA).

Speaking to Angop, the communal administrator of Negola, Paulo Jeremias, said the harvesting process is still ongoing and it is expected for a good result.
He noted that that area is still practiced rainfed agriculture, with the use of rudimentary means, but it has come to rely on the human potential that lives mainly in the field, the existence of water resources and soil fertility, especially in the southern part of commune.
