Government wants to turn TAAG into world reference company

Luanda - The minister of Transport, Augusto da Silva Tomás, said Saturday in Luanda that the Angolan government will continue to strengthen TAAG (Angola Airlines) with technical and air resources in order to make it worldwide reference company, providing a job with credibility, safety and comfort.

The official was speaking to the press, at the International Airport 4 de Fevereiro, on the receiving act of the new Boeing 777-300ER of Angolan flag company.

According to the Cabinet minister, the program is part of the Angolan government's strategy in order to provide the company with a world-class professional management, taking into account the geo-strategic position of Angola.

"It was necessary to provide the company with the means to exercise its work effectively and efficiently, particularly in relation to international standards. It must also have qualified personnel in order to monetize the company, improve the service provided to passengers, improve its operational and safety standards, "he said.
