Entrepreneurial Boost Institute launches traineeship programme

Luanda - A programme dubbed “Estágios Profissionais" (Professional Traineeships) designed to provide work experience for recent university graduates will be launched this Friday, in Luanda, in an initiative from the Economy Ministry, through the Entrepreneurial Boost Institute (IFE).

The information was given last Thursday to ANGOP by the IFE’s executive director, Carlos Alberto Ceita, who explained that the project is intended to help firms find good professionals having into account their own specific needs.

According to the source, the programme will promote qualitative and quantitative adjusting of the need for professional experience of a recently graduated citizen and the search for good professionals by firms.    

To him, the project will make way for fast integration of cadres and support the entrepreneurial sector, having added that the idea is also to provide permanent upgrading of human resources.

Carlos Alberto Ceita went on to explain that the programme will promote professional traineeship in companies that are IFE’s partners for finalist students of higher education institutions recognised by the Ministry of Higher Education.   

According to the source, the periodical duration of the traineeship programme will be of six months.

“They (the companies) will make way for a fast integration of trainee workers in the active (professional) life (...), then after six months they will make an assessment of the performance and then recruit 50 percent of the number of trainees they receive as full time workers”, clarified the source.    

The Entrepreneurial Boost Institute (IFE) is a public institution functioning under the umbrella of the Economy Ministry.
