Cement production resumption re-launches development
Sumbe - The Construction minister, Manuel Tavares de Almeida, Thursday in Sumbe City, coastal Cuanza Sul province, said the resumption of cement production by FCKS factory represents a key factor for industrial development.

Speaking to the press at end of a visit he paid to the facilities of Cuanza Sul- based FCKS cement manufacturer, the official said the company’s managers guaranteed the resumption of the production in January 2018, since they are still recruiting staff.
He also said he is aware about the big quest for this product in the market, thus the need for the factory to resume cement production, however, recognising the existence of many challenges such as good interaction with fuel supply company.
The factory has a daily consumption of 400,000 fuel litres and has a production capacity of 4,200 tonnes of cement per day, unit of clinker manufacturing and a 41 megawatts power plant, as well as a paper bag factory.
The company started operations in 2014.
