Fiscal Police close in on dishonest importers, taxpayers

Cabinda - The Fiscal Police in the northern Cabinda Province will strengthen the measures of vigilance and control of imported goods, as well as close in on taxpayers that insist on adopting unlawful postures like dodging the payment of taxes.

This stance comes on a final communiqué of the 11th Broad Consultative Council of the Fiscal Police in Cabinda, which took place on 11-13 December.

For two days the participants analysed the operative situation of fight against contraband and other problems in the province, having stressed that the police will be implacable towards some importers and taxpayers that insist on adopting dishonest practices.  

During the meeting, Ricardo Aguiar, a department head of the Customs Service in Cabinda, in representation of the institution’s director, commended the role of the Fiscal Police for being a crucial element in the fight against contraband and other fiscal and economic crimes.
