Mattress factory in Uíge reduces production

According to the head of the factory, Mohamad Ballita, the factory has a capacity of one thousand mattresses per a day, but the scarcity of foreign exchange in the market for raw material acquisition has conditioned its production, reaching the lowest levels currently.

He also pointed out as another factor of the low production, the reduction in 2016 of the number of workers from 45 to 12 staff.

He explained that the factory was paralyzed in 2015 due to the lack of raw material, caused by the scarcity of foreign exchange in the local market, and resumed production in 2016.

The factory was inaugurated in 2011 and has an area of production, cutting, linings and sale.
