Cunene: Cuvelai beekeepers focused on honey production increase

Cuvelai - Beekeepers in Cuvelai Municipality, southern Cunene Province, this year increased the honey production to 400 litres, 325 litres more in relation to the year 2016.

The information was released Monday to ANGOP, by the municipal director of agriculture in Cuvelai, Abraão Tyipa, who added that there are 500 hives controlled by four beekeepers cooperatives in the region.

Abraão Tyipa said that in order to maintain harvest levels, local agricultural services have been promoting training on honey extraction techniques, conservation and their benefits for human consumption.
