SADC Fund host committee appointed
Luanda - An Angolan multi-sector committee has been appointed to arrange for the eligibility of the Angola Development Bank to host the Southern Africa Development Community Regional Development Fund (SADC-RDF).

According to a note that reached Angop on Thursday, the said committee will be coordinated by the Angolan secretary of State for Finance, Mário Nascimento.
The objective of the SADC Regional Development Fund is to create a Financial mechanism to mobilise Resources from Member States, Development Partners and Private Sector To support regional Development and deepening of Regional integration.
Angola, the source adds, is among the three SADC member states – Botswana and South Africa – meeting the eligibility criteria to host the RDF.
Among other tasks, the committee is assigned to outline the RDF implementation strategies and consult with South Africa and Botswana to express Angola’s interest to host the RDF through its Angola Development Bank (BDA).
The committee is comprised of the representatives of the ministries of Finance and Foreign Affairs and the CEO of the Angola Development Bank.
