According to the diplomat, small and medium-sized enterprises have been the main support for modern economies, including those in developed countries, for contributing to the reduction of unemployment.
Speaking at the opening of the 1st Angola-Israel Business Forum, under the motto "Together for Development", Feliciano António dos Santos considered that Angola has recorded a satisfactory level of economic growth, being a land of great business opportunities.
After the reconstruction of infrastructures destroyed by the war, he said that Angola entered the phase of modernization, sustainability and economic growth.
So, the ambassador recalled that the National Development Plan, which has been in progress since 2013, has been created to improve the quality of life of Angolans by transforming the potential wealth that constitutes their natural resources into real and tangible wealth.
"To achieve this goal, among other factors, we need to increase productivity and transform, diversify and modernize the country's economic structure", he said.
He added that the growth of the Angolan economy is of capital importance, supported by the diversification of the national economic structure, "hence the importance of foreign partnerships, particularly in the transfer of technology to the country".
Feliciano António dos Santos said that Angola is open to foreign investment, so it has been cooperating with several countries, including Israel.
Regarding the proposal of the Israel-Angola Binational Chamber of Commerce, the ambassador envisages the establishment of a "twinning" that contribute significantly to the strengthening of friendship and cooperation relations between the two States.
He thinks that the creation of the Chamber will boost the commercial and economic relations between the two countries in the most diverse areas, considered positive in recent years, judging by the active presence of Israeli companies in the country.
The diplomat recalled that Israel is one of the countries that owns in Angola companies that work primarily in agriculture, diamond, health, education and telecommunications, as well as in humanitarian matters.
According to him, the creation of the future Angola-Israel Chamber of Commerce is expected to increase business turnover, as more Israeli companies will be able to be operating in Angola, developing a mutually beneficial partnership.
Angolan and Israeli businessmen linked to the Israel-Angola Chamber of Commerce are discussing topics such as "Business Opportunities in Angola" and "Investing in Angola".
On Tuesday, the event is discussing topics such as "Aquaculture in Angola", "Investment Opportunities in Agriculture" and "Investment Opportunity in the Mining Sector".
The main objective of the future Angola-Israel Chamber of Commerce is to promote the entry into Angola of more private companies and boost the existing commercial and economic relations between the two States in several areas.
