The engineer was speaking at the launch ceremony of three of his scientific works on oil engineering and the natural gas industry.
He said that the production of plastics, packaging, wires, among the oil byproducts, could help create new jobs.
Geraldo Ramos, who is also a university professor, added that betting on these subsectors help avoid the import of these products.
Despite the oil price slump, he said, there is a need to boost this sector through a work between the companies and Angola LNG, with focus on the other stages of oil production.
The book discusses the natural gas meant to encourage the government and companies to invest in the subsectors.
