She said that the IAPI technicians are improving the previous law (Law 3/92) in order to update it and conform it to international standards and, for this, count on the contribution of national companies, partners and agents.
"By the end of the year, IAPI believes that the proposal has been technically worked, so that in 2018 it will be brought to public discussion so that the country has a document that is in accordance with international standards, since Angola is part of international agreements and there are issues that do not contemplate the present law, "she said.
However, in addition to the need to change the law, the institute faces difficulties regarding the lack of facilities, training of technicians, as well as the urgent need for technological support (installation of software to make work more in line with what is done internationally), as well as lack of financial resources.
Regarding the IAPI projects, Carla de Carvalho, who spoke on the occasion of the International Day of Industrial Property, which is now being mentioned, said that the institute intends to expand the work space, to have a law that meets international standards, to recruit new training, disseminate more activities and have greater contact with universities.
