ADRA spends Akz 85 million on family income generation projects

Malanje - At least Eighty-five million kwanzas will be invested by the ADRA (Rural Development and Environment Action) in Malanje this year in projects aimed at strengthening the economy of rural families and generating income, said the local director of the organization, Fernando Santos.

With funding from the Sovereign Fund of Angola, he said, the project includes, among other actions, the granting of credit to families and training in small businesses and entrepreneurship, giving priority to agricultural activities.

According to the official, the initiative also aims to provide families with tools to help them improve their income and promote their well-being, with a view to combating hunger and poverty in rural areas.

Implemented in Malanje since 1992, ADRA is an Angolan non-governmental organization, dedicated to supporting communities in the fields of education, health and vocational training.
