Speaking in an interview to Angop, the municipal director of Agriculture, Fisheries and Environment, José Luís, compared to the same period of 2016, there was an increase of seven tons of fish.

However, he said that the lack of fish food in the local market is affecting fish production in the region.

Despite the difficulties, the official said that fish breeders are working on the construction of five other tanks to increase the reproduction of tilapia.
