Train to carry 50,000 tons of products per month

Moçamedes - At least 50,000 tons of diverse products, among them, fuel, will be transported monthly from Namibe province to other regions of the country (Huila and Cuando Cubango) by train, information advanced on Wednesday by Secretary of State for Railways, José Cerqueira.

The government official, who is under a working visit of less than 24 hours to Namibe province, in order to verify the state of the infrastructures of this sector, said that the goods will be transported through the railway of Moçamedes that connects the provinces of Namibe, Huila and Cuando Cubango.

He added that daily there is a train available to the population and weekly a freight transport and the intention is to increase the number with the arrival soon of more carriage to the country.
