UNACA wants more dynamism from affiliates
Ondjva - The Confederation of Peasants' Associations and Agro-Livestock Cooperatives of Angola (UNACA) on Tuesday called on its associates in the south Cunene province to increase agricultural production, aimed at fighting hunger and poverty within communities.

The orientation was given by the president of the association in the province, Teresa de Jesus da Costa, during a meeting with the members of the cooperatives and peasants' associations of the municipality of Cuanhama, on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of the institution, marked on February 6.
The official pointed out that family farming and smallholder farmers are an integral part of the process of eradicating hunger and poverty in rural areas and the subsistence of low income households.
However, she said that UNACA, in partnership with the Directorate of Agriculture, will continue to redouble efforts to support peasants with the necessary means and inputs for their work.
