China's Hunan province interested in investing in Bengo

Caxito - The province of Hunan (China) is interested in strengthening cooperation with the northern Bengo province in Angola in the areas of agriculture, food processing, infrastructure construction, culture and tourism, said Thursday the deputy governor of Hunan, He Boaxiang.

Bengo governor meets with a delegation from Chinese province of Hunan

Boaxiang was speaking to reporters at the end of a meeting with the governor of Bengo governor, Mara Quiosa.

The head of Chinese delegation explained that they chose Bengo region to cooperate because it is close to the country’s capital, Luanda.

He said the coastal province is reach in resources and have strong bases in agriculture.

Boaxiang said that Hunan province will make every effort to carry out cooperation with the province of Bengo as soon as possible.

In turn, Bengo's governor, Mara Quiosa, expressed the intention to attain mutually advantageous partnerships for both provinces, stressing that Bengo has more than enough conditions to promote foreign investment.

"We are fully interested in cooperating in these common areas and we believe that with these large investments in these areas will allow us to achieve medium-term objectives in terms of the development of our province," she said.

Mara Quiosa said that if these investments take place the high levels of unemployment in Bengo will drop.
