Zaire: Mbanza Kongo holds "Expo-Kongo in July
Mbanza Kongo - An international trade fair called "Expo-Kongo / 2018" will be held on 5-8 July in Mbanza Kongo, northenr Zaire province, to mark the first anniversary of registration of this locality in the list of Unesco's world heritage.

This was announced Monday by the deputy governor of Zaire for the political, economic and social sector, António Félix Kialungila.
Speaking at a press conference to present the programme of activities, Kialungila said the event, the first of its kind, will be held in partnership with a national company dedicated to this purpose.
He said the international fair will expose the region's potential in different fields of economic, social and cultural life, as well as goods and products of national and foreign firms.
The historic site of Mbanza Kongo was registered on 08 July 2017, during the meeting of members of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, held in Krakow, Poland.
Under the Executive Decree, the celebration of the date will also cover, as from this year, the Day of Mbanza Kongo city.
