The manager, who publicly announced this goal today, at the end of his presentation to the workers, said that in his mandate the expected challenges are the start of the Luaxe mine, 25 kilometers off Catoca.

The geological prospecting and geophysical survey work at this mine began in 2008 and is being projected to a depth of 400 meters. The venture can generate results in the order of 350 million carats.

Ensuring employability, improving workers' social conditions and allowing their wages to be able to respond to their needs and contributing to the country's wealth are other priorities on the agenda of the new director-general of the country's largest diamond company.
