Alvaro de Boavida Neto was speaking at the opening ceremony of the 3rd Productive Economic Forum, aimed at attracting the investment in the region.
The governor described the revival of the industrial sector, through the implementation of industrial hubs and parks, as a "key" tool for development and well-being of the families.
He stressed the need for improving the supply of energy and drinking water, mainly in sites for processing and conservation of products (industrial hubs and parks).
This is to encourage the investors to launch the large-scale projects that contribute to improving the living standards of populations.
The governor also said that agriculture represents the strongest point of the country's economic activity, both in the business dimension and in family farming.
Alvaro de Boavida Neto also stressed the importance of agriculture in providing self-employment.
The agriculture also help bring the families and society, in general, back to the sustainable financial and economic environment.
The 3rd Economic Forum of Bie/2018 aimed at showing the potential of mineral, economic, cultural and human resources.
The event was attended by State secretaries for economy and planning Sérgio Santos, for agriculture and livestock Carlos Alberto, and Commerce Amadeu Leitão Nunes, among others.
