Cuito - The third Edition of Expo Bié 2018, set to bring together firms of public and private sector, opened its Tuesday in central Bie province.

The provincial governor, Álvaro de Boavida Neto, chaired the opening ceremony of the event.

The fair is intended to show the agriculture and poultry potential in the region, with stress to the products such as cassava, maize and corn flour, beans, sweet potatoes, fruits and vegetables, as well as birds.

Addressing the ceremony, the governor Boavida Neto said that despite the economic and financial hardship the provincial government continues to work toward improving the living conditions of citizens.

The third Edition of Expo Bié 2018 closes on 31 August.
