Benguela hosts 10th Meeting of CPLP Central Banks

Benguela - Angola’s National Reserve Bank (BNA) will host the 10th Meeting of Central Bank Statistics of the Portuguese Speaking Countries Community (BCPLP) on 11 and 12 this month, according to its note sent to Angop on Friday

The event will be held under the motto "The role of Statistics in Risk Prevention and Vulnerabilities of the Financial System".

The meeting which takes place every two year, gathers experts in the field of macroeconomic statistics.

The activity also aims at discussing the challenges of the National Bank of Angola and its counterparts in the statistical segment.

The meeting focuses on the use of new technologies in the production and dissemination of statistics, the promotion of national tourism, among others.

The event gathers experts from Angola (host), Brazil, Cabo Verde, Guinea Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal, São Tomé and Príncipe and  East Timor.

The 9th meeting of BCPLP took place in Dili, East Timor, on 12 and 13 September 2016.
