Business fair promotes energy, water services

Saurimo - A trade fair of energy and water services, called "Expo MINEA", started Tuesday in Saurimo, eastern Lunda Sul province, aimed at encouraging private initiatives with a view to improving production and distribution capacity of water and energy.

The event is running ahead of 8th Consultative Council of the Ministry of Energy and Water (MINEA), held in the region under the motto "Our challenge is to improve energy and water supply services".

The event gathers 15 exhibitors who provide various services in the energy and water sector.

Speaking to ANGOP, the coordinator of the fair, Armindo Mussungo, said that the event aims to clarify customers about the operation of some companies related to the energy and water subsectors.

He added that the two-day fair is open to the public and is also displaying some energy equipment created by students of the Polytechnic School of Lunda Sul, attached to Lueji A'nkonde University.

Other products being displaying are also handmade pieces, mobile phones, food typical of eastern Angola and images that illustrate some rivers in Lunda Sul.

The Consultative council will analyse the 2018/2040 master plan for the development of the electricity system and the betterment of resources and procedures to improve the supply of energy and water in the eastern region of Angola.
