Mussende to produce 720 thousand tons of rice

Sumbe - About 10 thousand hectares of rice were planted this year in the municipality of Mussende, in the province of Cuanza Sul, to produce 720 thousand tons of rice, with a view to reducing imports and contributing to the self-sufficiency of the national market.

 The information was released Tuesday by the coordinator of the agricultural project of LL Engineering, Sungulês Bartolomeu.


The project will be implemented in two phases, the first of 3,000 hectares and the rest with the remaining seven thousand hectares, whose budget is valued at 500 million US dollars.
