Central Bank reassures customers of Mais and Postal banks
Luanda - The Central Bank of Angola (BNA) announced on Friday that the clients of Mais and Postal banks, whose licenses were revoked on the 2 January, could withdraw their funds or transfer them to other financial institutions, as from 14 January.

The two institutions license were revoked by the Central Bank after failing to comply with notice no. 2/2018 which required a capital increase of 2.5 billion to 7.5 billion Kwanzas by December 31, 2018.
In a note, BNA as the custodian of the interests of the clients of said banks, said that the withdrawal of funds, to be held on 14, 15, 16 and 17 January can also be done through the ATMs.
However it informs that Banco Mais's clients, who lives in Luanda, will be able to carry out their operations, namely cash withdrawals and / or transfer of the respective balances to other institutions, at the Porto branch office.
According to the statement, clients of the same bank, living in Malanje province, will be able to do the same operations, at normal times, at the Malanje branch.
Banco Postal's clients will have services open in Luanda, during normal business hours, at the agencies of Marginal and Viana (near the Comarca de Viana).
For the same purpose, residents of Huambo province should go to the Huambo Agency (Rei Wapojamba Avenue, S / N - Huambo).
As for the customers of the Xikila Money system of Banco Postal, the note says that they can also transfer the balance of their deposits using the same Xikila Money system, on January 14, 15, 16 and 17, 2019.
For the purposes of withdrawals in Luanda, customers should contact the branch of the Bank of Commerce and Industry located in Benfica Control, or via the branches of Marginal, Zango I, Villa Alice, Nova Vida, Km 14 and Calemba II.
In Huambo, clients should contact the Huambo and Cidade Alta branches.
