Farm has available over 2,000 tonnes of white potatoes this year

Chinguar - Two thousand tonnes of white potatoes will be produced by the Alfeu Vinevala farm in March in the central Bié Produce, representing 1,000 more than the production of the last quarter of 2018.

Speaking to ANGOP last Thursday, the owner of the farm with the same name (Alfeu Vinevala) assured that for that purpose 63 hectares have been prepared so far, which is an investment of 113 million kwanzas.

He reported the farm will clear until September 200 hectares, for a forecast of harvests of eight thousand tonnes.

Such production will be exhibited at the potato fair that the village of Chinguar will host later this year, in a promotion of the government of the Bié Province.


The current production of the farm is sold to the provinces of Luanda, Zaire, Moxico, Huambo, Benguela, Cuando Cubango, Huíla, but they have requested financial and other support in order to reach other localities in the country.



The Vinevala farm occupies an area of ​​427 hectares, has 183 young workers with direct job and 600 indirectly.
