Angola Cables and DE-CIX sign agreement
Luanda - Angolan telecommunications firm Angola Cables signed on Thursday an agreement with Deustcher Commercial Internet Exchange (DE-CIX), with the aim to expand its capacity and boost business of internet service providers through south-south Atlantic connection.

António Nunes, Angola Cables CEO, said the firm intends to build digital bridges for continents and countries through its upgraded telecommunication networks, so as to aid firms and economies to grow via the southern hemisphere.
On her turn, DE-CIX regional director for Southern Europe,Theresa Bobis, spoke of the advantages provided by the partnership, underscoring that Angola Cables, which now becomes DE-CIX’s reseller, will be able to offer reliable low frequency internet network and access of high quality to premium network interconnections as well as internet changes in Europe, Middle East, North America and India.
The two firms have already established interconnections through Brazilian cities of São Paulo and Fortaleza and Portuguese city of Lisbon, and the companies are currently seeking linkage with the Brazilian cities to DE-CIX’Internet Exchange in New york, Madrid and Frankfurt.
Angola Cables is a multinational telecommunications solutions company founded in 2009 in Angola, which is operating in Brazilian market since 2016.
It is focused on selling data centre infrastructure solutions, connectivity, cloud services to Internet providers and Internet services providers for the corporate sector using digital and service connections.
