Cuanza Norte: Forty tractors handed to agricultural entrepreneurs

Camabatela - At least forty tractors and respective additional accessories were handed last Friday to eight entrepreneurs in Luinga locality (Ambaca Municipality) of the northern Cuanza Norte Province, by the provincial governor, Adriano Mendes de Carvalho, with the aim to support the region’s agricultural sector.

Besides the tractors – which were handed during the ceremony that served to officially open the 2019/2020 Agricultural Campaign of the region – the governor also delivered 20 ploughs to the entrepreneurs with a view to stimulating production boost.

With such act, the Provincial Government of Cuanza Norte intends to substantially decrease the difficulties faced by the agricultural in the preparation of cultivation land, which in many cases is done manually.

The Provincial Government is also considering the use of animal traction in this agricultural process (tilling of the land), as is the case in the southern region of Angola.
