''We are pleased to see that some commercial banks already have correspondents in the market of the United States of America,” Lima Massano said at a press conference following the meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee (CPM).
Meetings between officials of the BNA and the US Federal Reserve (FED) have been held with a view to strengthening relations and recovering the US currency in banking operations in Angola.
The relationship between the FED and the correspondent banks was interrupted in 2016, a situation that aggravated the foreign exchange crisis that the country has been experiencing since 2014.
